Continuing our trip, we reach Irazu Volcano, the tallest volcano in Costa Rica, standing at an impressive 11,260 feet. This volcano has an active crater with a diameter of over 984 feet, making it one of the largest. 

Turrialba Volcano

As we head towards the south, we stop at Turrialba Volcano, another active volcano that has been erupting since 2016. The hike up to the crater is not for the faint of heart, but the views are well worth it. The surrounding area also offers opportunities for whitewater rafting, birdwatching, and exploring the nearby coffee plantations.

Rincon de la Vieja Volcano

Rincon de la Vieja Volcano is known for its striking landscape of hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. This active volcano is located in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, which is also home to numerous waterfalls, hiking trails, and diverse wildlife.
